I read with interest the Shopper News item about the Fourth Annual Culture of Peace Conference to be held March 3rd at KSC. Just by chance, I am giving a talk on the Nobel Peace Prize the following Sunday. This is part of a series on war and peace I have been presenting to audiences in New Hampwhire. The specific topic on March 4 at the Wilton Center Unitarian Congregational Church 10:30 am service in the Red House is “Alfred Nobel, the Nobel Peace Prize, and Woodrow Wilson” – Wilson being a prize recipient. Other topics address individuals, such as, the three American women recipients (Jane Addams, Emily Greene Balch and Jody Williams) and Teddy Roosevelt (famous particularly because of his efforts to bring peace between Russia and Japan through the Portsmouth Peace Treaty of 1905. For further information, phone 603-924-7064 or email gwswanson@research-international.com. Best wishes for a successful conference – Regards, Glen W. Swanson, Peterborough
